Hi, I'm Lulu.
This little aviary was never part of the plan.
After an accident left me disabled, life changed very quickly. I could not go back to the life or work I had before, and I had to figure out what moving forward was going to look like.
Birds ended up becoming a huge part of that answer. Lulu's Little Aviary grew from there, one feed, one baby and one very messy day at a time.

A normal day around here
Feeds. Cleaning. Weighing babies. More cleaning.
Hand-raising is very hands-on. I get to watch tiny, awkward babies grow feathers, learn to perch, discover food and slowly turn into very opinionated little parrots.
I also get to see the things a listing cannot really tell you. Which babies are more confident, which need a bit more time and how they respond as they grow. That matters when someone is trying to work out who will fit into their home.

Choosing your bird
The bird you first ask about is not always the bird you end up taking home.
If something sounds wrong for your household, I will tell you. I would rather help you find a better fit, or tell you to wait, than talk you into a bird that is likely to make life harder for both of you.
You're welcome to ask questions before you know what species you want. Tell me about the noise you can live with, how much time you have, whether you have kids or other pets, and what you actually want life with a bird to look like.
